Vendor Spotlight: The Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser

The Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser came onto the market with two main goals: Create an easy product for people to make cannabis-infused butters and oils and help people along the way

At its core, the Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser is about two important things: Helping people and making life easier.

There are more parts to the story and more goals to the business, but no matter which direction you look or how you size things up, it all comes back to those two things.

The trio behind the Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser kept those two principles right in the forefront of their mind during research and development and they hold them as the golden rule in the two years since the product has been on the market.

Help people. Make life easier. There’s a certain nobility to it, isn’t there?

“Most people don’t want to sit around for hours and hours with a crock pot to make an infusion,” says JP, one of the three founding partners in the business.

He’s right, and with medical cannabis and recreational cannabis becoming the legal norm in more and more places, the opportunities for consumers to make their own edibles are more available than they’ve ever been.

There’s this reality, though: Do-it-yourself isn’t always easy. Some people are such food novices can barely boil water or bake store-bought cookie dough. Do you think they’re going to be able to make their own edibles at home?

That, at its essence, is the function of the Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser. It makes cannabis-infused butter, oil or tincture with a single-button easy-to-use tool that even novices can figure out. In 45 minutes, anybody can have what they need to bake cookies, brownies or granola.

It’s perfect for medical patients or parents who need creative ways to medicate their special-needs children. That, in fact, was the genesis of the Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser.

The trio behind the Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser come from vastly different backgrounds, none of which are the cannabis industry. JP has experience in software, sales and product management. Steve is an attorney. And Kat is the medical mind, she’s worked for years with special-needs children.

It was Kat who originally had the idea.

“I can see a gazillion benefits,” she told her partners. “This is how we make a product that will helps kids and families.

It took JP two days before he decided he was fully on board and started to sketch preliminary designs.

“We just saw a huge opportunity,” he said. “Just looking at the burgeoning market here. And it’s not like we’re coming into this from a pure monetary standpoint.”

He continues: “The hardest point, is getting it off the ground. You can have a great idea, but how many great ideas are going to take off and launch?”

They worked for two years to perfect their product. They didn’t want to compromise their two main ideals — easy, helpful.

“We wanted it simple, fool proof, one button,” JP says.

Once the Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser was ready, it rolled out onto the web so people could buy it directly. The next objective was to find distributors and once that happened, the product started to circulate.

The company, which is based in Boynton Beach, Fla., also believes deeply in its value proposition. Their infuser — which sells for $159.95 — can make as many as 200 cookies with one batch of butter or oil. Compare that to how much edibles cost at the local dispensary. The product pays for itself after just one use, JP says.

“You’re going to save a lot of money,” he says.

And that’s important if you’re on a fixed income or a family strapped for cash.

This is not different, really, than the difference between making your own cookies at home or buying them from the fancy cookie store at the mall. If you need help with recipes, there are even loads for free on the Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser website.

Plus, there’s another big benefit: Do-it-yourself edibles allow people to control what they put in their bodies.

“For us, that’s a huge, huge thing,” JP says. “For example, kids with seizure disorders, ADHD or neurological issues, they can’t have artificial colors. Now you can make medicinal edibles and know what ingredients you’re putting into your body. If I go to a dispensary, I’m at their mercy.”

These days, the Mighty Fast Herbal Infuser team has two products: the Herbal Infuser itself and the Mighty Safe Vacuum Vault, which sells for $32.99 and functions as its own vacuumed sealed container. It’s much more cost-effective than having to $20 for a food-saved bag each time.

Heading into 2018, the company is focused on sustainable and steady growth. Its goals for the year ahead really honing its digital marketing strategy and expanding its sales force.

The company is also researching new products, primarily products that would complement its current offerings. They’re not getting too specific yet, but you can count on the same dedication to functionality, ease of use and helping people.

The trio behind the company isn’t here just to make money while the cannabis industry is booming and then do something else in a couple years. Quite the opposite, actually.

“It’s a long term game,” JP says. “We’re not going away. The industry’s not going away.”
